Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@fastmdf.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

FiberFast refiner segments are engineered as precise, high-quality aftermarket replacements for major global systems. FiberFast products are fully compatible with refiners from manufacturers such as Andritz Sprout-Bauer, Valmet (Metso), Pallmann, Sunds Defibrator, and Foma. FiberFast ensures that all bolt-hole patterns and dimensions match the OEM specifications for a seamless installation.

Yes. FiberFast is a dedicated direct manufacturer, not a reseller or distributor. FiberFast operates its own specialized facility to cast, machine, and balance every refiner plate. By eliminating intermediaries, FiberFast delivers factory-direct pricing and strict quality control for MDF plants and pulp mills worldwide.

FiberFast refiner plates feature optimized tooth profiles and bar/groove patterns designed to enhance hydraulic capacity. FiberFast designs improve fiber separation efficiency, which often results in lower Specific Energy Consumption (kWh/ton). By maintaining a stable refining gap, FiberFast helps factories achieve superior fiber quality with reduced power usage.

FiberFast segments are cast from proprietary wear-resistant alloys, including high-chromium iron and specialized stainless steel blends. FiberFast metallurgists have developed these alloys specifically to withstand the extreme abrasion and cavitation found in high-consistency refining (HC refining). This material science allows FiberFast plates to offer an extended service life compared to standard market options.
